I spent last week at Walt Disney World . . . One of my favorite places to visit. It was a fun week - beautiful weather and a fun time with my family. Hope you enjoy my pictures!

A Special Day . . . . Remembering my Friend

On Wednesday, March 4, my family had a special day remembering my friend Ashley. March 4 is Ashley's birthday and my family purchased a balloon in her memory to be released in front of the castle at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.

Three years ago my friend went to live with Jesus and I miss her very much. As we released the balloon into the sky and watched it float into the heavens, our thoughts and prayers were with her family. We hope you enjoy the slideshow.

Happy Birthday to my Grandma Phyllis.....

I spent a few hours today with this special grandma. We went to lunch at Kathleen's at Apple Mountain to celebrate her 70th Birthday.

She is always so sweet to me and I am glad she is my Grandma.

I hope you have a very special day today Grandma - I love you.

Count Down to Disney . . . .

It's no secret.........

My favorite place to spend my vacations is Disney

I usually celebrate my Birthday at MAGIC Kingdom in Florida. It was important that I change my plans this last December because my Grandpa had a medical emergency and our family felt lead to stay home and be with Grandpa.

We do have another trip planned...... One of the fun things that my Dad always does with me is count down the number of days until we go to Disney. We often start months in advance and the anticipation builds. This time our family decided to place a calendar in my bedroom so that I would have a visual reminder of the number of days until vacation. Hooray.... the countdown has started and I am planning to go visit my favorite place in 55 days.

It will be the perfect time to fly out of this Michigan cold winter to sunny Florida. We will spend a week joining in on all the Disney fun. We are looking forward to our vacation .... part of the fun is planning, dreaming and counting down!!!

Back to School . . . A good start to 2009

I was up bright and early on this cold January morning. My bus arrives at 6:40 a.m. After sleeping in for about 17 days (I mean REALLY sleeping in...) it was a huge change for me to get up early. It was very cold and the driveway was a little slippery because of freezing rain yesterday.

It is good to get out and have a routine. A girl could get pretty lazy with no commitments!!! I spent time at Riverside Senior apartments with my friends.... I visited with my friend Ellan and wished everyone a Happy New Year. Tomorrow is Watercolor Class at the Community Center - It's great getting back into my school routine of serving, playing and learning (can't forget learning). Happy New Year to all!!!!
