So far . . . SO G-O-O-D!!

Update on the Family Garden - Everything planted is doing well. We ate our first cucumber on the 4th of July and have been picking a few each day. Today, we picked our first Green Beans - MY FAVORITE - we will be having them for supper tonight :)

We are enjoying the bounty of our Family Garden.....we are checking it daily because with the heat that we are experiencing this summer, it is AMAZING how fast the vegetables grow!! Weeds too :(
God is so AMAZING.
Hope you enjoy the following slide show....

My family entered a new phase in life....My Parents are retired.....I have one year left of school.....One of our life-long dreams was to camp. My parents camped when they were young but I had never been on a camping trip.

After much prayer, a search for an RV that would meet my needs and lots of planning...... In April, we purchased a new travel trailer and began preparing for our first adventure.

Thank You, Grandma Phyllis, for letting us store our trailer at your house while we prepared a place to store it at our house.

WE ARE NOW CAMPERS!!

On Father's Day, we left for our first camping trip. We stayed 4 days at Otsego State Park just south of Gaylord, Michigan.

Setting up Camp

It was a beautiful park with wonderful handicap facilities. Our lot was paved and shaded. Friends from church were just 4 lots down from us. They helped our family a lot. What a wonderful first experience for me!

Dad and I are just hanging out!!

There is nothing like the fresh air in Northern Michigan, campfires, the smell of bacon cooking on the camp stove for breakfast, long afternoon naps, listening to the birds singing....IT WAS VERY PEACEFUL and RELAXING

A much needed rest after lots of home improvement projects!!!

My first camp shower was a family project.....the facilities were very good and we worked together to make it happen!

This picture was taken as we walked in the park along Otsego Lake - it was a little windy but a beautiful day and a beautiful walk. Great Camping Weather!!

I LOVE CAMPING....we are looking forward to our next trip to Aloha State Park in July . My Grandma Phyllis will be going with us next time - FUN TIMES!!!!

This is going to be a fun adventure for my family. What a fun family activity - especially in the beautiful state of Michigan!!

Family Resemblance ???

There is no question that I am "Daddy's Girl"

in relationship and looks!

Since the day I was born, it has often been said that I look like my Dad and it has been said that my Dad looked like his Dad.

While preparing for a special birthday celebration for my Grandma, some pretty neat old pictures have been surfacing.

Dad recently mentioned that he thought there was a resemblance on his Mom's side of the family. When my parents saw this picture of my Grandma G, they definitely saw a striking resemblance..... What do you think????
