INTENTIONS. . . . I thought we were feeding the birds!!!

Yesterday, our family decided to set up a feeding station so that we could feed the birds. It has been a few years since we had a bird feeder. The feeding station can be seen from our Dining Room and Kitchen windows. Our INTENTION was to attract beautiful Michigan birds.

Then Rocky shows up!!

Is this "Rocky - the flying squirrel" - he tried to jump from the tree to the feeding station!!

He is VERY cute!!!!

and VERY Hungry!

The suet cage is obviously too close to the ground!!!

He is VERY determined!!!!

He didn't come for a little snack or even a small meal......

We even moved it up higher on the pole!!! This just enabled Rocky to climb into the red bird feeder. Pretty soon we had two squirrels at the feeding station.

Although we didn't intend to feed the squirrels, it sure was entertaining!!

Still no BIRDS . . . we may have to make a few changes to our feeding station!!

Life Lesson
Sometimes our INTENTION is to do one thing......
and something else happens!!!

We did the same thing when we first moved in, now we have about six squirrels, one is a white one, Joe just throws peanuts out the back door each day for them now, Kevin will feed them and come as close as about three feet from him.
We love them, Joe just shakes the jar of peanuts and they come running...

We have a few "opportunistic' critters around here too! It's funny how these life lessons come in all forms, you never know how God is going to use you. Even if it is to feed the hungry...it may be the lowliest of creatures... they were all created my the master...Enjoy his entertainment :)

with Rocky there, you are lucky you did`nt attract Bullwinkle--was he a moose?
the little critters are fun to watch, but they do scare away the birds.
